Attorney Karen Lamprey opened her family and estate law practice in 2010. She works throughout the metro Denver area to help her clients deal with difficult situations and to put their kids first.

A Colorado native, Karen lived on the east coast before returning to Denver in 2005.  Karen graduated as a Chancellor’s Scholar from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2008, where she served as a General Editor of the Law Review.   She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bard College in Annandale, New York.

Karen is proud to be a member of the Colorado, Denver, and 1st Judicial District Bar Associations, as well as the West Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Colorado LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce.

Karen lives in Lakewood with her husband Nate and two incorrigible cats.  She’s a baker, a cross-stitcher and a beader, and loves to hike, camp, and host epic dinner parties.

Izzy Copeland has worked as Karen’s paralegal since 2014. Izzy supports the day-to-day functioning of the practice, including scheduling, notary services, and keeping cases moving smoothly.

She graduated from the University of Denver in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  Izzy was born in Sikeston, Missouri and raised in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

After attending Randolph Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia, she moved to Denver in 2002.  She lives in Lakewood with her dog and cats, and plans to stay in Colorado for good because of its natural beauty and great people.  Izzy loves sci-fi (especially Star Wars), and plays the violin.

Administrative Assistant

Charissa Jensen joined Lamprey Law as our administrative assistant in 2020.  She grew up in a farm town in Northeast Indiana.  She moved to Colorado after spending three years traveling in a Sprinter van for her husband’s job.  Now that she’s in one place, her snuggly cat is adapting to house life. Charissa is an amateur welder, and is excited to bring her artistic sensibility to her home renovations.
